The winner of Eurovision 2014 Conchita Wurst visited Kyiv at the invitation of the studio “Kvartal95” (Quarter). As we know, the world famous Austrian singer took part in the taping of a new series of the comedy show “Vecherniy Kvartal” (Evening Quartal), which will go on the air in the beginning of November.<\/p>\n
Conchita sang her two songs for the Ukrainian audience, You Are Unstoppable and Rise like a Phoenix.<\/p>\n
Besides, the artist met the representatives of non-governmental LGBT organization “Tochka opory”<\/a> (Fulcrum)<\/p>\n “I am glad to see you, you do a very important work. I live in Austria. We are ahead of Ukraine when it comes to LGBT rights obligation, we fight for the marriage equality. But you need to prove the universality of human rights. It is a tough way, but you have to work your way”, greeted the singer the activists.<\/p>\n Conchita addressed the Ukrainian society at their request.<\/p>\n “Every person needs to be respected whatever sexual orientation and gender identity, religion and political views. We all deserve respect”, stated the singer.<\/p>\n Conchita told the journalists that she was not afraid to come to Ukraine because she knew that she would be taken welcome there.<\/p>\n
