Russia continues to prosecute the activists and organizations dealing with LGBT issues on the pretext that they violate the law on “propaganda of homosexuality among the minors”.

The Central District court of the city of Barnaul has decided to block the website of the project Children -404, which provides psychological support to the LGBT teenagers. The founder of the project Elena Klimova wrote on her Facebook page she is used to such things because it happened also in the past.
Klimova also informed that the website deti-404.com would be blocked shortly due to the “big love” for the project by the Barnaul prosecutor's office. The founder is going to appeal the decision. She admits, however, it can take much time, and it is a lost cause, “We aren’t going to make a mirror site now. The site worked mainly as an archive of all the letters posted on the social networking sites. The only thing, I feel sorry for, is our excellent library”, wrote Klimova on Facebook.

Besides, Elena published the results of so-called “Inspection report”, which was conducted by the Barnaul prosecutor's office. It states that Senior Assistant City Prosecutor, jurist, 2nd class Elena Shulyak has made an inspection for eight hours “using her office computer, which has access to the telecommunication network Internet.” The inspection found “the information clearly promotes sexual relationships between the minors, namely, homosexuality among the boys, lesbianism among the girls and bisexual relationships among the children.”

Dmitriy Bartenev, the lawyer of Elena Klimova, provided the court with the independent expert opinions confirming that there is no “any propaganda of the non-traditional orientation” in the group Children 404. However, it hadn’t any effect on the decision of the court. The court accepted the argument of the prosecutor's office.
The Children-404 project was created in 2013 to provide support and help to the LGBT teenagers. The participants shared the problems, communicated, and discussed real-life situations in the web community. In 2015, the social networking site VKontakte closed the community group upon request by Roskomnadzor. It has been the same reason, i.e. the violation of the law on “prohibition against the propaganda of homosexuality among the minors”.
After several sites had been blocked in the territory of Russia by court decision, Elena Klimova hopes that those you wish have found easy ways to bypass the restrictions.
